The iStarUSA BPN-DE340HD is a 12Gb/s trayless hot-swap hard drive cage that converts three standard 5.25" external drive bays into four accessible 3.5" SAS/SATA hot-swap slots. Supporting the latest 12Gb/s SAS III and SATA III transfer rates, it handles modern high-capacity drives up to 14TB in demanding server, NAS, and workstation deployments. The trayless design allows drives to be inserted and removed without a separate caddy — reducing installation time and eliminating tray management overhead.
The aluminum front bezel includes a metal key lock mechanism that physically secures installed drives against unauthorized removal — essential for shared rack environments and secure storage deployments. An 80mm fan with adjustable speed control and ultra-quiet operation maintains thermal stability during continuous use. The full aluminum integrative-shaping construction provides both structural rigidity and maximum passive heat dissipation. Supports RAID 0/1/5/10 with a compatible external controller.
