The Pimoroni Pico VGA Demo Base (PIM465) is a feature-rich expansion board designed to showcase the multimedia capabilities of the Raspberry Pi Pico and RP2040 microcontroller. Equipped with a 15-pin VGA connector, the board enables users to generate analog video output directly from a Pico, making it ideal for retro computing projects, custom displays, graphical interfaces, and embedded video applications.
In addition to VGA video output, the board features an onboard PCM5100A DAC for high-quality digital I2S audio, PWM audio support, and an integrated microSD card slot for storing media, graphics, and application data. Three programmable user switches and a reset button provide additional control options for interactive projects and demonstrations.
Based on Raspberry Pi's official RP2040 VGA reference design, the Pico VGA Demo Base is perfect for developers, educators, and makers looking to explore graphics, audio processing, retro gaming, digital signage, and multimedia applications.
