The Arduino Due is Arduino’s 32-bit ARM board — a major step up from 8-bit AVR-based boards like the Uno and Mega. Running an ARM Cortex-M3 at 84MHz with 512KB of Flash and 96KB of SRAM, it handles complex multitasking, advanced signal processing, real-time control, and data-intensive applications that would overwhelm 8-bit microcontrollers. The 12-bit DAC analog inputs provide far greater resolution than standard 10-bit ADC boards for precise measurement and control applications.
Native USB host capability allows the Due to act as a USB host — connecting keyboards, mice, USB storage, and other USB devices directly. With 54 digital I/O pins and 12 analog inputs, it provides rich connectivity for multi-sensor robotic systems, industrial prototypes, CNC control, scientific instruments, and high-speed data acquisition. Compatible with the Arduino IDE and most Arduino shields designed for 3.3V logic.
