The Pimoroni Trilobot Base Kit (PIM598) is a sturdy, mid-level Raspberry Pi robot kit designed with education in mind. It is straightforward to get started with, but easy to extend with extra sensors, a camera, or your own hardware as your plans grow. The motor driver is built into the chassis, and the bright RGB underlighting, reversible top plate, and gold bumper add some style to the build.
Please note: this is the Base Kit only. You will need to supply your own Raspberry Pi (Pimoroni lists a Raspberry Pi 4), microSD card, Raspberry Pi camera, and USB-C battery pack. Base Kits shipped from February 2023 onward include revised boards compatible with Raspberry Pi Camera Module v2 and v3.
Compatibility Note: Pimoroni states the Trilobot library is not yet compatible with Raspberry Pi 5 or the latest Raspberry Pi OS (Bookworm) due to changes in the GPIO libraries. For best results, flash the Legacy version of Raspberry Pi OS.
