The iStarUSA BPU-350SATA converts three standard 5.25" external drive bays into five accessible 3.5" or 2.5" SAS/SATA hot-swap drive slots. Supporting SAS I/II and SATA I/II/III at up to 6Gb/s with 12TB compatibility, it delivers high-density storage expansion for server, NAS, and workstation environments. Full aluminum construction with conductive dissipation grooves and an 80mm cooling fan with front-to-back airflow ensures thermal stability during continuous operation.
The Key Lock (KL) variant adds an integrated key lock mechanism that physically secures installed drives against unauthorized removal — suited for shared rack environments and secure data deployments. RAID and JBOD configurations are supported with a compatible external controller, making it suitable for both redundant and high-capacity non-RAID storage builds.
