The iStarUSA T-7M1-SATA is a single-bay hot-swap rack that converts one standard 5.25" external drive bay into a hot-swappable SAS/SATA drive slot supporting both 3.5" and 2.5" form factor drives. The cableless point-to-point connection design eliminates the need for separate data cables and requires no master/slave jumper configuration — drives install and are recognized immediately via plug-and-play. Supporting transfer rates up to 6Gb/s and drives up to 12TB, it handles modern high-capacity HDDs and SSDs at full SATA/SAS interface speed.
The dedicated 80mm blower fan provides active airflow across the drive for thermal stability during sustained operation. A front-panel power button allows the drive to be powered on or off independently without affecting the rest of the system. LED indicators show power and drive activity status in real time. The aluminum body provides structural rigidity and passive heat dissipation alongside the active cooling. Available in Blue, Red, and BPL for chassis color matching or visual organization in multi-bay setups.
